The AI Memory Cookbook · Beginner Model
One command starts everything. Copy it, paste it to your assistant, and your assistant takes you through the whole plan — step by step, in small bites, at your speed. Approving access to your Drive once is the only technical thing you'll do.
Please set up my memory system — pretend we haven't done any of this before, and start fresh. The whole plan is at beginnermodel.com/files/plan.txt — please read it and take me through it step by step, in small bites, one thing at a time. I'm not technical, so use plain words and wait for me at each step. And ask me how much help I want — I can always tell you to slow down or speed up.
Then open your assistant in a new conversation and paste:
Muse
ChatGPT
Gemini
That's it. The plan goes simple to hard: your storage, your morning briefing set up, your calendar, a few easy facts — and everything can be skipped and picked up later, no harm done. Your phone's history can join whenever you're ready. It's an extra, not homework.
Before you start — the honest part. This book teaches you to build a memory system out of your own files, worked by an AI assistant. The assistant is another company's software: Beginner Model doesn't control it, and it can misunderstand you, make mistakes, or occasionally do something you didn't ask for — which is why this book teaches checking (approvals announced before they appear, work read back to you, a fresh-conversation proof). Your files are yours, in your own account, and keeping them safe — including the monthly backup copy the book describes — is ultimately yours too; no one can recover a vault you lose. The system keeps records; it is not a financial, tax, legal, or medical professional, and decisions in those areas stay with you and the people you hire. You use this book and the system it builds at your own risk; to the extent the law allows, Beginner Model is not responsible for what an AI assistant does, or for records lost from an account it doesn't run — because it runs nothing of yours. That last part is the whole design.

Prefer one small sheet at a time? Some assistants can't open web pages. These six sheets cover the same plan, one screen each — copy one, paste it, answer, then the next.
