BEGINNER MODEL · THE AI MEMORY COOKBOOK
Effective October 27, 2026. This page is written in plain words on purpose. It is the full version of the short notice at the start of the book.
Beginner Model publishes instructions: a book that teaches you to build a personal memory system out of files you own, worked by an AI assistant you choose. Beginner Model does not provide the AI assistant, the storage account, or any part of the system itself. We never receive, hold, host, or have access to your files, your accounts, or your records — by design. Nothing in the book or on this site is a service running on your behalf.
The assistant you use is software made and operated by another company (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or Meta). We do not control it, and we cannot promise how it will behave. It can misunderstand instructions, state things that are wrong, refuse or fail at tasks, act in ways nobody asked for, and change without notice as its maker updates it — features can appear, move, or disappear at any time. Anything the assistant says or writes is its maker's output, not ours, and it is not verified by us. The book teaches checking habits — announced approvals, read-backs, fresh- conversation proofs — because this is true. When anything matters, look at the underlying file yourself.
The book, the system it teaches you to build, and this website are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any guarantee that the method will work with your assistant, your account, your device, or your circumstances, or that any third-party service it relies on will remain available or unchanged. You use all of it at your own risk and your own judgment.
This system keeps records. It is not a professional, and nothing in the book, the system, or an assistant's output is financial, tax, legal, medical, or any other kind of professional advice — no matter how it is phrased. Records about money, mileage, health, or obligations are evidence you keep, not conclusions to act on. Decisions in those areas belong to you and to the licensed professionals you hire.
Your storage account is governed by your agreement with its provider (for example, Google), including their terms, limits, and privacy policy — not by anything here. Keeping your account secure, keeping your own backup copies (the book describes a monthly one, and it matters), and deciding what is recorded, kept, shared, or deleted are your responsibilities. No one — including Beginner Model — can recover a vault that is lost from an account we do not run.
A memory system is only as accurate as what goes into it. Imported data (such as phone location history) can be incomplete, mislabeled, or wrong at the source; entries can be mistyped, misheard, or misfiled by you or by the assistant. Treat the vault as a faithful record of what was written down — and verify before relying on any entry for money, health, safety, deadlines, commitments, or anything affecting another person.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beginner Model is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, missed events, or losses arising from an AI assistant's actions or from reliance on any record or output — even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the book. Some places do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you; the rest still does.
The book and this site refer to services and pages run by others. We do not control them, are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and your use of them is under their terms, not ours.
Assistants and services change, and this disclaimer may change with them. The current version always lives at this address, dated at the top. Corrections and improvements to the book itself are announced on the updates page given in the book.
If these terms are not acceptable to you, do not use the book or the method. Refunds, where offered, follow the policy of the store you bought it from, shown at purchase.
